Breastfeeding support is available throughout Ottawa and the surrounding region. The resources below offer lactation support, breastfeeding education, peer support groups, and guidance for families during the newborn period.
La Leche League Canada
Provides free breastfeeding and chestfeeding support through peer-led support groups, virtual and in-person meetings, and telephone support for families during pregnancy and throughout the breastfeeding journey. Families can connect with experienced volunteers for practical guidance, reassurance, and community support.

Community Health Centres (CHCs)
Several Community Health Centres across Ottawa offer breastfeeding and postpartum support programs for families. Services may include group support for parents of multiples, breastfeeding education, virtual Q&A sessions with lactation consultants, and connections to local parenting resources.
One example is the Carlington Community Health Centre, which offers community-based supports for new parents and families.
Centretown Community Health Centre Breastfeeding Support
Provides in-person breastfeeding appointments with support for feeding concerns, latch difficulties, milk supply questions, and infant feeding guidance during the postpartum period.
